Facts/Trivia Q&A
Where are you from? | I was born in Brooklyn, New York. My mother would end up living in America for 2 years, and would go back to Trinidad and Tobago, where she was originally raised and was born. I would be raised in Princes Town, Victoria, Trinidad until I was 5 years old and would go back to America and have been living here ever since. |
Where did your inspiration for writing come from? | I actually thought about doing writing as an option pretty late in my life. I originally wanted to do nursing until I decided that I also wanted to do something pertaining to writing as a career when I was 15. My inspirations come from anime and just animation in general. |
What do you admire about animation? | I believe animation to be a beautiful thing that can be expressed in a variety of ways through movement and the emotion. Animation has more of a weight factor to it than live action does in my opinion. |
What is your favorite animation/anime? | My favorite anime/show is Yu-Gi-Oh. Most of my friends family members and peers know me best for me being a massive fan of the franchise ever since young. The nuances of the series are what acts as my main motivation to write. My personal favorite of the series is Yu-Gi-Oh GX. In general, I've been a fan of the series since 2011-2012. |
What are your plans for a future project in writing? | I plan to start off my dream as steady as can be. I plan to make a comic book or graphic novel as my first project debut, and if circumstances are right, even have the possibility of having one of my projects animated by a studio. |
Any personal hobbies/likes? | I love comics, video games, artwork, all of those sorts. Rarely do I find interest in sports, but one thing that people may not know about me is that I am a huge martial arts fan. I have been getting into the combat sports scene and often watch the UFC and MMA. |
Idols/People you look up to? | My parents for the most part. If we want to talk on the topic of some celebrities I look up to for inspiration, then it would be people like Michael Jackson, Israel Adesanya, George R. R. Martin, and Kazuki Takahashi, the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh to name a few. |
What do you admire about story? | To me personally, I like whenever a story tries to do something new and original. Straying from a few cliches is a breath of fresh air every once in a while. We will have cliches in most of our stories one way or another, we cannot escape from them, but I at least admire the fact whenever a story tries to challenge a new idea or twist in its narrative to subvert the audiences' expectations. |
Favorite genre of story? | Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Action. I think I'm pretty much open and willing to most genres, even romance, but the first three I've listed are my top personal favorite genres. |
