Project

Future of Good is an online publication that covers stories of interest to the Canadian social impact sector. From February 2022 until May 2022, I was responsible for pitching, writing, and editing stories for the publication.

Purpose

Until recently, there were no publications that specifically catered to the news needs of professionals in the world of social impact. Our coverage keeps our audience - who is comprised of entrepreneurs, climate-change activists, Indigenous leaders, think tanks, tech start-ups, nonprofits, and more - apprised of the stories, trends, and insights in this ever-changing sector.

Results

Through my long-form features, I provided insight on interesting and alarming trends within local communities and in Canadian politics (such as the rise in hate crimes). I gave voice to those whose stories are not often told, including Indigenous and rural community leaders.

Additionally, I shared information on unique projects and strategies being undertaken by various Canadian organizations, from which social impact professionals and thought leaders could learn.
