I was hired by The Curated Feast to assist the writing of several blogs for CCOF.
The Curated Feast interviewed several organic farmers in California then handed the audio files off to me to transcribe and pull the most valuable quotes. I then edited / co-wrote the blogs with The Curated Feast to be published on CCOF's official blog.
Creative process
When transcribing the audio interview files, I kept in mind the client's (CCOF) ultimate mission and pulled quotes that guided each blog's messaging most effectively. With strong quotes, the writing of each blog became relatively easy by letting each farmer tell their own story in an engaging, authentic way.
I advised / completed one blog rewrite to tell one farmer's story more completely and empathetically, and edited the others to present the most succinct, impactful entries to CCOF.
Final results
The humanizing story-telling of these blogs helped these farmer's explain how they rightfully belong in the organic community despite growing unique crops by different, inventive means. The farmers were proud of the presentation and CCOF called it a success, which made everyone happy all around!
