The 2022 Association of Writers & Writing Programs conference was the first in-person event the Arkansas International attended post-pandemic.
As the Publicity & Outreach Director, I collaborated with the Outreach staffer of another magazine, The Massachusetts Review, to put on a reading and cocktail event for conference attendees. AWP offsite events are many and varied, but ours attracted a standing-room-only crowd for our authors.
