“Is it worth hiring a copywriter, seriously? Or could I just do the work myself?”
I can’t speak for everyone, but for me personally copywriting is a luxury- hence the pexel image I chose above, writing in bed with the windows open, feeling inspired, minus the bottle of wine-haha. It can’t be that much fun or I’ll never get anything done.
But real quick-I work a full time job on the stock market where we drive off caffeine and deadlines. So why do I write copy then?!
I don’t NEED to write copy. I GET to write copy. It is pleasurable for me to write for you, that’s why I spend so much time educating myself on doing it.
A copywriter isn’t someone who specializes in just writing emails or one particular thing.
There are 99 different categories ( according to google) that a copywriter can write in. Copywriters offer a bundle of specialties personalized for the enhancement of YOUR company. Now the question is, is it ideal for you to hire one? Well that’s up to you. Do you want more sales? Do want more viewers and traction? Maybe these are things you already do but aren’t reaching numbers like you hoped. That’s where a professional comes in. Copywriters aren’t these little word fairies with a magical wand that can somehow do what you all the sudden can’t ( well, sort of). Anyone can do anything, but as an entrepreneur and business owner the load to finding the time and passion to work every detail out for your business can become lackluster for you and dampen your target market when trying to balance all of the things that keep a thriving business flourishing.
Copywriting includes extensive research on not just your target audience but your competitors. That’s where we evaluate and weed out the differences for you, by creating a stronger more attractive approach for why your buyer not only wants your product, but NEEDS it in comparison to your competitors.
With copywriting training school and Atomic Habits ( the best book ever invented) I’ve learned a a good deal on the anatomy of human emotions. The cues that trigger us to want something versus needing it.
I’ve made a new rule to reduce my shopping addiction by asking myself this question first.
“On a scale of 1-10 how bad do I need this?”
And that’s exactly what I will do for your prospect. Making them visualize your product as an enhancement to their daily routine.
Okay, so you read the above and it sounds nice, but you still need a bit more clarification on if this copywriting thing is what your business is actually missing or is it something else?
Here is a more in-depth break down on what exactly copywriting is in just two categories.
This is copy that directs the prospect to joining, subscribing or even purchasing a product on the spot.
Sales Letters
Online Ads
Landing Pages
Email Funnels
Websites & Video Scripts
All of the above are prime examples of copy that could have your prospects credit card number at the end of one copy page.
Now this is where I have found to be my niche in the grand world of copy, although I can do most of anything- not to brag!

Pretty much anything freelance, which basically means the rules are up to you. Take ghostwriting for example. Ghostwriting is basically writing whatever idea you think-up.
This would cost you or the consumer to pay a standard rate of anywhere from $50-100 per copy requested depending on the copywriter and copy you choose. The rate of paying for one copy could result in multiple sales or more traction for your business, and if that happens it’s a win-win for both parties.
For bigger longer projects, the rates vary and are negotiable depending on the nature of the copy.
As a bonus, some copywriters will give a first sample trial at a much lower rate for you to feel out, and if it’s successful, you can hire the copywriter as needed to update changes to your website on a monthly basis. This makes the copywriter happy that you want to see more of her/him!
If you’ve made it this far to the end of my article then I’ve succeeded my job on what perfect copy looks like! I’ve kept you interested enough to hear me blabber about what’s important to me. Writing is only good if it’s a matter of the heart ♥️
Which only means, I can do this for you!
To wrap things up, I will leave you with what copywriters call a- CTA! (A call to action). A CTA just basically invites you to make a decision or act now.
My call to action is hoping you were persuaded enough to give copy a run for its money one day and click the link below for a free consultation on what would work for you starting out! No purchase necessary, in fact-if you decide to proceed, first one’s $10 because I’m blushing.
