Bad Boys: Ride or Die

A Billion Dollar Franchise.

Well it's safe to say that a writer's strike, an actor's strike, and not even the Oscars could negatively impact this franchise. As of mid June, the Bad Boys franchise has officially pasted the $1 billion box office landmark. Rightfully so.

The Culture of Miami.

The Bad Boys films are known for being set in Miami, filming taking place authentically in the popular city. Bad Boys: Ride or Die continues that tradition as this fourth round begins in the city and ends just the same. The soundtrack of the film includes Becky G, El Alfa, BIA, & ScarLip.

A Seamless Connection to the Past.

The main plot of Bad Boys: Ride of Die is the framing of Captain Howard, who was murdered by Mike's son Armando in the previous film. While the plot is enjoyable, viewers may have an issue with the redemption arc established for Will’s son Armando which may or may not lead to another sequel.

The Son's of The Original Bad Boys.

A breakout character during this installment happens to be Marcus’s son in law Reggie who has one of the most phenomenal action scenes towards the beginning of act three. While I did enjoy the time spent with Marcus and Will, with Reggie’s character development and Armando’s established remediation arc there is still something left to be explored. Stay tuned. Viewers may just see the next Bad Boys installment grow from a twosome to a foursome.
