Now to start this off, I wasn’t the biggest Guardians fan when the first film came out. I’ve hated Star Lord since Infinity War - RIGHTFULLY SO – he knows what his ability to not control his temper cost the team.
Anyway, I didn’t see the first one in theaters, by the second one, I was emotionally attached to most of the characters.
The Endgame comparisons are correct since this the equivalent of Endgame but for the Guardian’s family.
It tugs at your heart strings. If you have little kids, this one might be too much for them. There’s A LOT of abuse shown and it’s a tad bit gory throughout the film. For the parents, I suggest watching it first then deciding if you wanna take your babies to see it.
If you have time to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 this weekend, I strongly suggest you go see it.
Keep in mind that it took ten years and over 15 films to build up to the climatic ending of Endgame.
Does Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 'beat' Endgame? No, it doesn’t but It’s my favorite film out of the entire Guardians series. It’s in a category of its own and an amazing farewell to James Gunn, he will be extremely missed at Marvel.
