Saltburn

Welcome to Saltburn.

Saltburn could be considered as mixture between Glass Onion and Call Me By Your Name with very high levels of sexual tension between the entire cast.

Bathtubs and Vampires.

There are a few scenes that casual viewers may deem as "too much". I have watched more grotesque scenes displayed on Game of Thrones, The Saw franchises, 13 Reasons Why, and Blonde. So, I may just have been used to 'shock value'.

With that being said, Emerald Fennell directed the film in a unique way. Those scenes, some may describe as gross, are beautiful shot.

What is happening on screen may turn some viewers stomach, but the bravery of being able to displayed on screen is what makes this film like nothing else.

A family night film?

No. Nope. Absolutely not. I have seen some families announce that they were planning on watching Saltburn together after it was released on Amazon Prime Video and all I could do is smirk.

I've had conversations with several of my girlfriends about this particular film and I am curious as to what would be discussed between parents and their adult children after the ending credits rolled.

I personally would not have watched this with my parents but to each their own. 😂

There's a murder on the dance floor 🕺🏻

The chemistry between Barry Keoghan and Jacob Photo is something special. Barry's Oliver and Jacob's Felix have a relationship with ups and downs through the film and by the end, is wrapped up like a surprise gift with a big bow presented on Christmas Eve.

Speaking on the ending, there is a dance scene that is a call back to something most of us happen to take part in time to time when we are home alone.

There will be no film spoilers here but as far as a film making spoiler, no prosthetics were used for Barry Keoghan's last scene.

Do with that information what you will. Enjoy! 😉
