Wonka

Family, friendship, chocolate and “a hatful of dreams” 🍫😭🕊️

A writers strike, an actors strike, CGI complaints, and an almost two year wait but it was worth it! Just like a chocolate bar at the a week of cardio can brighten your whole day.

A film for the holidays.

Wonka is the perfect movie to see this Christmas. The screenplay was able to answer some aspects that viewers may have had while watching Gene Wilder's "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory".

It will leave you wanting to know even more about Willy Wonka’s back story even though the circle does come to a completion.

A musical that didn't need to be marketed as such...because the original film was a musical as well.

Timotheé Chalamet sounds amazing as a young Willy Wonka. Unbeknownst to many, Timothee graduated from LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, and has a history with music prior to this film.
His rendition of “Pure Imagination” stated on repeat once I left the theater. An excellent nod to Gene Wilder.

Calah Lane, the young actress who plays Noodle along side Wonka, was a wonderful choice. Paired along with Timothee, the big brother/little sister relationship that was displayed on screen was heartwarming to see.

A little holiday reminder.

Wonka reminded its viewers that even though they may have lost someone, their spirit is always with you.

They see you, they are proud of you even if you can’t see them, and they would always want you to follow your dreams.💜
