Hi there, thank you for taking the time to look over my portfolio! A little bit about me: I received my journalism training at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism and currently work as a City Hall correspondent and writer for the New York Post.
While pursuing my master's, I specialized in business and economic journalism. I also have extensive experience covering New York City crime, politics, and human interest.
Before I was a journalist, I was a talent manager for musicians and comedians - a role that bolstered my passion to collaborate with others. I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and moved to New York over 5 years ago.
When I'm not writing or in the field, I'm typically exploring Brooklyn, playing guitar, or spoiling my cat Marie.
I've published over 300 articles during my time at The Post. I report on Metro political news and specialize in housing, homelessness, and data research. At The Post, I spend about half of my time reporting in the field, attending events, and interviewing sources. The other half is spent writing stories and reporting on long-form investigations. Check out my byline below to read my work!
Occasionally I have the opportunity to collaborate with the NYP video team when I'm reporting out in the field. I love the chance to break down my work into digestible content for those in our audience who prefer to watch vs. read. Here's a hit I did for my cover story on Justin Timberlake's DWI appearance in the Hamptons.
