This project was a creative assessment given to me by a prospect that I completed to demonstrate my writing skills in a marketing framework.
For the creative project, the prospect requested the following:
1. I chose a random item from my room and renamed it into my own product.
2. I wrote a short, sales-oriented social media post designed to get people to click and purchase the item.
3. I wrote a product page for the website that customers would arrive at when they click on the ad, with various features of the product outlined.
4. Lastly, I wrote a brief story for the site’s About page, demonstrating the brand’s voice and identity.
As requested, I spent a few minutes skimming my room and decided on my wallet. As I am the target audience for that particular product, I laid out a few pain points to include in the copy (e.g. previous wallet was bulky, made sitting uneven, kept ruining my cards, etc.) and used the About page as a more emotionally driven, bigger picture approach to why less is more not only in a wallet but in most other areas of your life.
