On a bright and warm February afternoon, an inspiring and creative group of authors, poets, and bibliophiles came together to celebrate the official launch of the LOVE LARGE PRINT PROJECT!
We are thrilled to usher in a new non-profit that highlights the need for more large print publications, and this launch was the exciting beginning of that journey. Throughout the afternoon we had guest speakers share their writing processes, the inspiration behind their works, as well as live reading performances of original poetry and prose. Wendy Imashev, our fearless captain and founder, welcomed all to the project as she detailed our core values and mission.
Special Guest Author, Judy Leigh, shared with us delightful sections of a few of her books, including "The Witches Tree" and "The Cream Tea Killer". Afterwards, she answered the audience's questions about her writing, her publisher, and throughout the day sold copies of her books and did a book signing.
Art and passion sparked in the air and, following Judy, several more authors and poets shared their work with the LLPP Launch audience. The afternoon heard the inspiring voices of: Dr. Rosie Freedman, Paul Oliver, Jessica Taggart Rose, Nina Telegina, Annerose Weiler, and Jessica Wright.
Wendy concluded the event with a riviting Book Auction, the proceeds of which went to the LLPP fund.
Overall the launch was a huge success! Thank You to the Event Staff, Organizers, Poole Lighthouse, Authors, and Guests for such a great start to our project! Stay tuned for more events.

"Jessica is part of the Portland Writers group and has kindly agreed to join the LLPP team as our Social Media Content Writer and Photographer. Jessica will be covering live LLPP events and helping to man the stand as we travel to shows around the country.
Not only is Jessica the youngest member of the team, but she is also bilingual – proficient in spoken and written Japanese, an accomplished musician, poet, writer and artist and brings a youthful exuberance to everything we do." (Blurb from LLPP website)
We attended this year's London Book Fair!〜
What an impressive event it was! The sprawling festival was absolutely bursting, bustling with passion, print, and business. We represented the Love Large Print Project, met some wonderfully creative people, and had the opportunity to spread awareness of the project.
It was truly awe inspiring to be among all the publishers, authors, and book enthusiasts. Wendy and Jessica were exhausted after just one day! Here's hoping LLPP gets the opportunity to go to the London Book Fair again in future! ✧(full post -> LLPP's FB)
