julia carden (she/her) is a creative based in erie, pa, specializing in writing, editing, and photography.

she has words published in the erie reader, the central current, the meadville tribune, the newshouse, and the spectator. julia is currently a content creator at kate & co., a woman-owned communications and marketing firm.

julia holds an m.a. in magazine, news, and digital journalism from the newhouse school of public communications at syracuse university, a top-ranked communications program. she earned a b.a. in journalism from edinboro university with three minors in communication studies, professional writing, and public relations: branding and imaging.

with interests in arts writing and women's and gender studies, she brings a thoughtful, multi-dimensional perspective to her work.
