Sophia (Sophie, Soph, Zosia) Fitz. Recent — but not actual — Mainer, former Masshole, even more former New Yorker.
I first began drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil but throughout school saw my artistic talents as nothing more than a hobby. Then during the pandemic when everyone was changing and learning a lot about themselves, I decided to add an art minor onto my degree. Soon into it I found myself staying up into the way late hours of the night to add the tiniest details to my art pieces. Not long after, I switched to an art major and everything began to feel right.
During college a few friends and organizations I was involved with asked me to make their logos. The thought of my work being the first impression of a business invigorated me and thus I fell into a freelancing groove. I'll never forget the first time I was out in public and saw a stranger wearing a hat I designed. Since then connections have built on connections and now I've begun to dip my hands into many different areas of graphic design while still building up my art business! As with each chapter, I'm beyond excited to see where this career in design takes me :)
When not designing, you can find me somewhere in the mountains no matter the season whether it be hiking, backpacking, or skiing! Nature is where I ground myself (which I guess is why it's called being "grounded") and it's also where a lot of my art draws inspiration, hence the little leaves in my logo.
