Fashion Editorial

Fashion Editor,
YM
Complex
Sportswear International

2000-2003

I started my career in editorial, reporting, editing and styling for some of the most influential magazines.

Complex Magazine

Aaah, the good old days at Complex. Menswear was just taking off, and print magazines were still the only game in town. Kanye had his own column. There were no street style photographers. Way before the days of social media and digital publications. I conceived, styled and produced dozens of fashion pages every month, for this groundbreaking publication.

YM Magazine

Remember YM? Young Miss? Young & Modern? Your Magazine? it was the awesomest teen magazine around before its untimely demise.

As the Fashion Director, I covered the juniors' market in search of the "next big thing" and conceived and styled dozens of fashion pages a month, with the goal of helping tween and teen girls look and feel better. I also shot covers with iconic stars including Britney Spears and, NSYNC.
Best. Job. Ever.

Sportswear International Magazine

As editor of the influential global fashion trade magazine Sportswear International I covered the youth fashion market worldwide, interviewing hundreds of CEOs about their businesses, creating fashion editorials, and delivering a hard-hitting fashion trade magazine every month.

I was there for the birth of streetwear, sneaker culture, and Y2K style, and helped dozens of young designers build their businesses.
