Holy Week is a big deal in the predominantly Catholic Philippines. It's a time when the pious go meatless on Fridays, which was a prime opportunity to encourage people to order a Filet-o-Fish. (Or enough to feed the masses.)
Playing with some Biblical narratives, I wrote this audio 30-second ad.
MVO (gravelly, David Attenborough-ish voice), light music punctuates the narration:
And then one of his associates came upon him and said:
“This meeting is now at half past two. Our stomachs are grumbling. Dare not forsake us for we partook of nothing this midday.”
He looked upon them and said, “Worry not for I will feed you.”
“But we cannot partake of meat for it is the season of sacrifice,” they answered.
“Bread and fish is what I’ll feed you. Behold!” he said.
And on the table they saw bread with golden filet of fish, topped with creamy, tangy tartar sauce and melted cheese. He summoned them and they exclaimed “McDonald’s Filet-O-fish!”
So it came to pass that they partook of their Filet-o-fish. And they agreed as one that this was good and gave thanks.
