As a digital marketer and e-commerce specialist, I am a copywriter, a designer, and a strategist. I work in the background, and I like it that way. I'm not a spotlight-seeker by nature, so the quiet power of giving voice to brands and aspiring authors who lack the time or technical skill to bring their ideas to life holds a special appeal to me (even if it makes building a portfolio challenging).
I took my first steps in professional writing as a gig worker on Fiverr. I served many clients on a variety of projects, from pet reviews to eBook writing. Soon after, I had my first agency client, The Social Calling (now Randi Sherman Content Services), with whom I worked for two years. Once I started searching for new clients, I found another agency, Elite Editing, on LinkedIn and I worked with that agency for another two years. In April of 2021, I returned to the world of writing after a year-long sabbatical and found Adrian Agency.
Through these agencies, I have worked for myriad brands, authors, and individuals including household names and innovative startups, but I realized I needed brick and mortar in my wheelhouse to break free of freelancing. So, in 2023, I began a year-long journey to cultivate soft skills and garner recent experience as an employee.
Now, equipped with those same skills and experience—plus a shiny new Google certification—I'm ready to join your team!
Even when I'm not working, I still create. I am a poet, a fiction writer, an artist, a designer, and an editor. I'm also a keen outdoorswoman who loves to hike, swim, climb, spelunk, and fish with my family. My husband and I live in a small, rural town and we enjoy the quiet and solitude that comes with the locale. Our son and our two cats seem to enjoy the quiet life, as well.
I am fascinated by stories, and I love to read, watch movies, and play games that engage that primal part of my brain that aches for a narrative to follow. I have many interests and hobbies, which explains my love of marketing: I dislike feeling stuck in a single box and prefer to live my life hopping from one box to another, revisiting my favorites from time to time.
