Deliverables: Brochure | Social and Web Content | Surveys | Video Series
An outreach campaign helped re-brand Tech Valley High School and boost applications for admission by 33%.
Tech Valley is an innovative regional public high school that uses project-based learning. On the cusp of its 10th anniversary, an independent review trumpeted the school’s success but uncovered an issue of consistency in its perceived school identity.
To help address the issue, a work group came together with the goal of identifying and clarifying to stakeholders exactly what TVHS is and what it is not. Based on its research, the group decided to use a series of targeted communications produced in partnership with the Capital Region BOCES Communications Service, including a graduate profile brochure and video series to deliver key messages about the school and its programming.

Deliverables: Internal Newsletters | Social and Web Content | Staff Recognition Program | Surveys | Videos
A strategic internal communications plan helped connect employees of a decentralized school district and quadrupled nominations for a staff recognition program.
How far away is four miles? For the employees of the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District, it’s far enough. Employees said they would wrack their brains and scratch their heads when they heard mention of a coworker stationed at the campus in the next town.
With the goal of boosting morale and inter-campus collaboration, the district introduced an internal e-newsletter, ramped up its staff recognition program by digitizing the nomination system, and launched a social media campaign and various video series to highlight staff and their contributions. Social media posts with pictures and videos about staff members were some of the most engaging to date.
Deliverables produced in partnership with the Capital Region BOCES Communications Service included videos highlighting staff recognition program awardees and employees behind the scenes, such as cafeteria workers and bus garage mechanics.

A new mobile-responsive website for the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation was successfully developed to improve user engagement and replace a legacy system, reducing bounce rates by a remarkable 20%.
Originally built in Drupal with limited branding and interaction capabilities, the content was difficult to find and lacked visitor engagement, as reflected in bounce rates. Redesigned in Site Factory, the updated interface features a responsive landing page that allows visitors to quickly explore funding programs, find and complete funding applications, and reach out to schedule consultations.
