Hi, I'm Sarah.

I'm a copywriter, journalist, comedian, and human being living in the greatest city on earth.

In the last decade, I've lived the lives of a million people. Ok, maybe not a million people - but you get the idea.

My origin story began as a journalist – working as a reporter for the Independent, Mic, and freelancing for some of the most trusted names in journalism like the Washington Post, the Atlantic, HuffPost, the Intercept, and the New Republic.

But after a while, I had an inkling to do more than just report on stories. I wanted to transform the way news operates, galvanize the press to make their coverage more accessible, and revolutionize the written word with the help of a rapidly evolving digital media landscape. And I got to do that as a Digital Platforms Editor at Al Jazeera Contrast, making virtual reality journalism and documentaries accessible to all, and as the National Editor at Courier Newsroom, leading editorial coverage during the 2020 Presidential Election and mentoring a team of talented journalists.

Now, I'm a copywriter and a stand-up comedian.

Most recently, I worked in-house as the Senior Copywriter at Comic Relief US / Red Nose Day. Currently, I freelance for agencies lookin’ to turn fun campaigns into good money. I also write bits and scripts for Voice AI products and non-AI people (but I promised I wouldn’t say who).

At night, I roam the streets of New York City, saving the huddled masses from a miserable life of monotony with my stand-up. It seems to be working – I was selected “Best New Comic” by New York Comedy Festival, a quarterfinalist for Stand Up NBC, and a performer at the HBO Women’s Comedy Festival. I also regularly headline comedy clubs across the country, and even got to perform at the United Nations once.

But if I’m being 100% honest, you’ll probably see me at Playwright’s wearing my Real Madrid football jersey and shouting at the screen with my fist in the air. Nothing gets my blood boiling than penalty errors in a soccer (erm, football) game.

Here are some cool brands and clients I wrote copy and provided creative strategies for

Jeff Goldblum, Chris Hardwick, Ben Stiller, Chris Martin, Elizabeth Banks, Vin Diesel, John Cena, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Lizzo, Coldplay, Dan + Shay, David Guetta, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bruno Mars, Sia, and Fleetwood Mac among many others.
